Vipera Berus Chain

A beautifully intricate chainmail design with a distinctly serpentine appearance, the 8mm Vipera Berus chain has a flowing, braided structure inspired by the movement of a snake.

Named after Vipera berus, the common European adder, this weave has a wonderfully winding appearance, with its interlocking rings creating a continuous pattern that twists and flows along the length of the chain.

Each piece is made by hand, one ring at a time, giving every chain that slightly unique handmade feel. The 8mm width gives it plenty of detail while keeping the chain relatively slender and comfortable to wear, with plenty of natural movement.

With its serpent-like structure and intricate construction, Vipera Berus has a strong gothic, medieval and fantasy character. Wear it on its own for a subtle statement, layer it with other chains, or choose a shorter length for a detailed bracelet or choker.

- 17–30 inches — Necklace
